physics experiments, several of which have led to
important discoveries - the discovery of the
J/ particle (composed of charm quarks), the
Y(ypsilon) particle (composed of beauty quarks), the W
and Z particles (the mediators of the weak interaction)
and the top quark, just to mention a few. |
