1.
To start, click on the arrows in the speech bubbles. If you want to turn off the speaker voice, click on the symbol for sound in the upper right corner.
The chef informs you of your mission – to make some safes and armoured cars or to make computer monitors and toasters, for example.
2.
Next you have to choose a recipe for the alloy that corresponds to the product you are going to make. Click on the arrows to browse among the recipes. Click on "Choose recipe" when you have made up your mind. If your decision is wrong, the chef will tell you, and you will have to choose another recipe. You can scroll down the recipe if you want to read about to what the particular alloy is used for. Next to the question mark at the top of the screen is a clock showing how time passes – you'll get time bonus points if you find the correct recipe within 30 seconds.
3.
Mix the right ingredients according to the recipe. (You'll find the recipe if you click on the question mark at the top of the screen and then select "Recipe" in the left-hand menu.)
Move a particular ingredient above the mixing bowl by using the white left and right arrows under the belt. Click on "Go" to pour it in the bowl. If you don't succeed the chef will mix the ingredients for you in the end.
4.
Choose the cookie mold(s) that best suits the manufactured steel. Use your mouse to drag and drop as many molds as possible onto your dough.
5.
Position the molds so that they don't overlap each other, or end up outside your steel dough – a thicker blue line indicates poor positioning of the mold.
6.
While you drag a mold with your mouse onto the dough, you may rotate it with the arrow keys on your keyboard.
7.
Press the "End placing" button when you have finished placing your molds on the dough.
If you press "End placing" before time runs out, you receive a time bonus.
